Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
6 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Ingredients Packaging Image Setup
Arrange the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, butter, milk and vanilla neatly on a warm brown-toned kitchen counter. Place the fresh apples in a bowl beside the packaged ingredients. Keep labels facing the camera and clearly visible.
Utensils:
9 × 13-inch baking dish
Large mixing bowl
Medium mixing bowl
Wooden spoon or spatula
Measuring cups and spoons
Apple peeler and knife
Mixing Stage:
Toss sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice until evenly coated. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in melted butter, milk and vanilla until a thick, spoonable batter forms.
Pre-Bake Stage:
Spread the seasoned apples evenly in the baking dish. Spoon the cobbler batter over the apples in small portions, leaving a few areas where the fruit can peek through. The topping should look thick and evenly distributed before baking.
Instructions:

4. Transfer the apple mixture to the baking dish.

Tips:
Use a mixture of sweet and tart apples for more balanced flavour.
Slice the apples evenly so they cook at the same rate.
Don’t make the topping too thin; it should remain thick enough to sit above the fruit.
Let the cobbler rest after baking so the filling thickens slightly.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

🍎 Here’s Where Most Go Wrong
The biggest mistake is cutting into the cobbler immediately after it comes out of the oven. The apple filling will be extremely hot and loose. Give it 10–15 minutes to rest so the juices settle and the filling develops a thicker, spoonable consistency.
